Bellevision Bahrain - Family Sports Day 2014

Manama/Bahrain, 27 Nov 2014: The annual sports day for the family members of Bellevision Bahrain was held at the grounds of Riffa Sports Club here on Friday November 21 from 9.00am – 2.00pm.
The pleasant weather was an awesome opportunity to be out on the open grounds with a sporty mood. The opening ceremony was held on the grounds.
The participants were all divided into 3 teams – red, blue and pink.
Preethi Pinto led the brief prayer. Bellevision Bahrain president Joel D’Sa welcomed the gathering and in his address reminded the motto of Bellevision Bahrain – striving for togetherness. He thanked all those who put in their efforts to organize the sports day. Oath taking ceremony was lead by Joel D’Sa. The sports secretary and the main event co-ordinator Ivan D’Souza along with ever energetic Sharmila Sequeira conducted the games and compered the event.
The games were played one after the other as per age-groups and teams for boys/girls, men/women. Individual winners were selected and also the points were accounted for the teams. The games played were: picking up chocolates, run and catch the parents, 100 meters race, shot-put throw, dog and the bone, sack race, tennis ball throw, bat relay.
Veera Fernandes, Ancilla Martis and Nirmala Sequeira took the charge of the registration desk and master score list.
Team blue scored the highest points, followed by team pink and team red. Individual winners were presented with medals and team blue was presented with rolling shield.
The sumptuous breakfast and lunch was arranged by Udupi Palace restaurant. Naveen Mendonca had baked a delicious cake for the November month birthday and anniversary celebrants. Preetham Aranha was given a birthday surprise with a cake arranged by his family.
It was a memorable day filled with fun and a little exercise for the body.

Very pleasant event to see small young and old playing together to chase away the cold cill of Bahrain on a ground playing. it is indeed a fellowship games whic will foster good relationship unless politics intervenes . Good. Keep it up Bellevision Bahrain. | |

Congratulations to Joel DSa and his team for organizing such an amazing Family Sports Day-2014. The pictures by Ronald Fernandes are superb. The birthday cakes look yummy . I seems that the Bellevision-Bahrain families had a gala time. Keep it up Joel. All the best for you and your dedicated team. |
