Udupi: Vidhyarti Yuva Sene organizes 30-yards cricket tourney at Nellikatte

Udupi, 10 Nov 2014: The district Vidhyarti Yuva Sene organized 30-yards cricket tournament at Jnanaganga PU College, Nellikatte, near here on Sunday November 9.
 
Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district fisheries co-operative marketing Federation president Yashpal A Suvarna inaugurated the programme here on Sunday morning.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Yashpal said that sport is integral of curricula. The government lays importance to sports along with studies. The cricket tournament gives an opportunity to exhibit their cricketing talent, said Yashpal.
 
The renowned advocate Mattar Ratnakar Hegde inaugurated the tournament by lighting the sports torch.
 
Ratnakar said that only studies should not become a goal in this mechanical living. One should have a clear goal and develop the grit and courage to achieve.  One should partake in sports to explore life, said Ratnakar.
