Udupi: St Lawrence PU College, Moodubelle celebrates decennial of NSS Camp

Udupi, Oct 17, 2014: Kodibettu gram panchayat president Sandhya S Shetty inaugurated NSS special camp of St Lawrence PU College, Moodubelle at Government Higher Primary School, Kajaraguttu, near here on Wednesday October 15.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Sandhya said that every parent expect their children to become doctors and engineers, none expect their children to become farmers. NSS camps instill the virtue of hard work and social service.  The collective labor can do wonders, said Sandhya.

 

 

Moodubelle – St Lawrence education institutions correspondent Fr Joswey Fernandes in his presidential address said that one should live as an ideal example to others. NSS strives for social welfare and patriotism for the prosperity of society.

 

ZP former president Upendra Nayak, TP member Satyanand Nayak, Udupi district PU education department deputy director S S Shinda, Kajaraguttu Government Higher Primary School betterment Committee chairman Prashant Nayak, Belle parish council vice president A K Alva, Kajaraguttu Primary School designated-head teacher Shobharani, NSS unit leader S P Sagar were present.

 

District PU education department deputy director S S Shinda who is due for retirement was felicitated on the same occasion.

 

St Lawerence PU College principal Fr Paul Sequeira welcomed the gathering. NSS camp officer Naveen Correa proposed vote of thanks. The assistant camp officer Edward Larsen compered the programme.
