Kundapur, Sep 22, 2014: Kundapur deanery level ICYM youth convention was held at St Mary’s PU College auditorium, here on Sunday September 21.
Kundapur deanery vicar Fr Anil D’Souza after inaugurating the convention here on Sunday morning said, ‘When we have gone to Rome to attend the World Youth Convention, Pope conveyed his message that you should not go empty handed. You got to take the message of Jesus Christ. Similarly, when you are attending the convention here, take the finer aspects. If you do worthy deeds to others, you will be blessed,’ said Fr D’Souza.
Kundapur deanery ICYM director Fr Prakash Paul D’Souza said, ‘Whoever actively involved in ICYM have carved out better future for them,’ said Fr Prakash. He urged the youth to take active role for better future.
Kundapur parish council vice president Johnson D’Almeida conveyed best wishes to the youth.
ICYM - Kundapur deanery president Dreema D’Souza welcomed the gathering.
Fr Edwin D’Souza, ICYM – Kundapur deanery secretary Joyston D’Souza, Udupi diocesan ICYM vice president Leena Machado, Kundapur deanery president Novel Olivera were present at the dais.
The resource persons offered training to youth, gave them valuable advice, interactive meet was held.
Variety games were also conducted.
