Manama, 22 Sep 2014: “Sakkad Sangatha Melyan” ani “Moriyek Hogolsiyan” these two beautiful and meaningful hymns keep resounding in our ears during the month of September. Bellevision Bahrain had the opportunity to celebrate Monti Fest for the third year at Papillon Restaurant on Friday, 19th September.

The celebration began at 12 noon with MC, Veera Noronha’s welcome followed by prayer from Mr. Norbert Pinto and family. President Joel D’sa welcomed the sponsors, guests, members and their families and conveyed his festive wishes.  The statue of infant Mother Mary, was carried in procession by the President followed by committee members and by children with flowers to offer Mama Mary. Assistant priest of Sacred Heart Church Bahrain, Rev. Fr. Freddy D’souza  invoked Mary’s blessings on all. As the hymn Moriyek Hogolsiyan was sung, children showered flowers and indeed it was a spectacular moment. Milk mixed with blessed corn, juice, snacks and cake was served to all.

The gathered crowd was entertained with dances performed by little tots and teens which were choreographed by Sharmila Sequeira and Ajay Lobo. Skits, jokes and song were put forth by the members. Secretary Sylvia D’souza proposed the vote of thanks.

The yummy vegetarian food was all prepared at home by the members. Kishore D’souza under his proficient leadership took the in-charge of the catering and was duly assisted by his team throughout the celebration. Women wearing similar sarees and men in mundu was a special attraction of the catering team. Food was served on banana leaves and comprised of rice, pullikodel, pickle, pappad, cucumber raitha, snake gourd, bitter gourd, pineapple dish, tendli with channa, buttermilk and vorn. Children were given sugarcane along with gift hampers which were sponsored by Edward D’sa & Fly.

Such a beautiful family gathering was only possible because of the selfless sacrifice of the members and their contribution. Bellevision Bahrain always remains grateful to its sponsors and members and look forward to exhibit more and more events to keep the BV Bahrain families united.
