Udupi: Pamboor parish YCS unit bags deanery cultural championship; Shirva runner up

Udupi, Sep 16, 2014: Shirva deanery YCS/YSM units jointly organized deanery level cultural competition at Holy Cross parish, Pamboor, near here on Sunday September 14 afternoon. Ten YCS units of the deanery participated in the competition.

 

Shirva deanery YCS/YSM spiritual director Fr Paul Rego, Udupi diocesan youth director Fr Edwin D’Souza, deanery parish priests, animators of different YCS units, Pamboor parish council vice president Prakash Noronha and secretary Asuntha D’Souza were present.

 

 

The competitions on group singing, group dance and Konkani skits were held.  Waylon Machado, Avil Jackson Sequeira and eena Machado were the jurors.

 

Fr Edwin congratulated the Deanery YCS council for organizing the programme and Fr Paul for taking the lead.

 

The prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition.

 

Pamboor parish bagged the overall championship; Shirva parish bagged the runner up.
