Kundapur: YCS - Our Lady of Rosary parish felicitates all teachers of community

Kundapur, Sep 8, 2014 : Our Lady of Rosary parish – YCS unit organized one of the rare programme of felicitating all teachers both working and retired among the parish community here during Sunday Mass September 7.

 

Our Lady of Rosary parish priest and parish-run education institutions correspondent Fr Anil D’Souza celebrated the Sunday Mass along with St Mary’s Pre-university College principal Fr Praveen Amrut Martis and assistant parish priest Fr Paul Prakash on the occasion.

 

Fr Anil in his homily said, ‘The teachers ought to be mentor of students to lay strong foundation for their future.  Even at the commercialization of teaching profession, the teachers cannot shun their responsibilities that the society expects from them since centuries,’ said Fr Anil.   

 

 

The teachers conducted the liturgical service.

 

YCS president Winard D’Costa congratulated the teachers for their selfless service throughout their career.

 

YCS members greeted over 50 teachers by presenting a rose each.
