Mangalore: DK District admin celebrates first ever Krishna Janmastami in City

Mangalore, 4 Sept 2014: Dakshina Kannada district administration in association with department of Kannada and culture organized the first ever Krishna Janmastami celebrations at Town Hall here on Wednesday September 3 afternoon.
 
MLC Ivan D’Souza after inaugurating Krishna Janmastami said that the district administration has organized the first ever celebrations in the city in accordance with the directives of state administration to involve everyone in the society to foster communal harmony.  The life of Lord Krishna is meaningful and inspiring.  Lord Krishna sacrificed his life for others despite facing a lot of hurdles. He is a guide to all the youth, said MLC Ivan.

 

Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, ADC B Sadashiv Prabhu, Moodbidri – Alvas College lecturer Sudha Rani, Mangalore Tahsildar Mohan Rao, Chadrahas Rai and others were present on the occasion.
