Udupi: Parishioners of M’belle greet Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes on his 67th Birthday

Moodubelle, Sep 01, 2014 :  Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes, parish priest of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle was  warmly  greeted by the parishioners on his 67th birthday soon after the 8.30 am Novena mass on Monday, 1 September  2014.

 

Soon after the mass, a brief felicitation programme was held to honour Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes who has completed 66 years of his life in which 38 years as a priest and 6 years as parish priest of Moodubelle. Along with Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes, Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Souza, assistant parish priest, Rev. Fr. P. Raj, principal of St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Alphonse K. Alva and Mrs. Emilia Noronha, vice president and secretary of parish pastoral council were on the dais.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes formally celebrated his birthday by cutting the cake. Thereafter, Rev. Fr. Roshan, Rev. Fr. Raj, Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto, Alphonse K. Alva and Mrs. Emilia Noronha greeted Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes by offering him flower bouquets.

 

The choir sang birthday felicitation song. Alphonse K. Alva speaking at this occasion on behalf of the entire parishioners,  recalled the service rendered by Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes to Moodubelle parish as its parish priest and wished him good health and happiness.

 

 

In his brief reply, Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes thanked the priest colleagues and parishioners for extending warm greetings  on the occasion of his 67th birthday.

 

Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto compeered the felicitation programm and welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Emilia Noronha proposed the vote of thanks.
