Shirva, 04 August 2011: When a person thinks and understands the birth and death, he will want to serve the society even after his life time. In his honest earnings, a part he will quietly give to someone in need without expecting anything in return and thus feels the eternal satisfaction. Full body donations are one of the most compassionate alternatives to a funeral. Anatomical donations are a much greater gift to the future of humankind.
Having such a thought, a broad minded young couple Alfred Vincent Monis and Joyce Veena D’Souza, signed body donation consent and handed over the papers through Shirva Rotary Club to Prof. Dr. Antony D’Silva – Head of K.M.C. Anatomy Department, so that after them passing away instead of their body getting decomposed in cemetary it will be used for medical research and education to the students who are economically backward.
