Minister Shobha Karandlaje directs officials to commence Malpe-Karavali Junction NH works

Udupi, 09 Jan 2024: Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje has directed the NHAI officials to commence the  works on the Malpe-Karavali Junction NH after completing the land acquisition process at the earliest.

 

She was presiding over a progress review meeting at the DC office Auditorium on January 8, Monday. She said there have been several complaints of inconveniences on this busy stretch as many people visit the Malpe beach and fishing vehicles too travel on the road in large numbers. She stressed the need for early commencement of the works.

 

 

Expressing concern over rising accidents near Padubidri Junction on NH 66, she directed officials to initiate remedial measures.

 

She further instructed early completion of the railway overbridge near Indrali.

 

Deputy Commissioner Dr. K Vidyakumari, SP Dr Aun K, MLAs Yashpal Suvarna, Gurme Suresh Shetty, Kundapur AC Rashmi S, NHAI Project Director Abdul Javed and others were present.
