Mangaluru: ‘Aloysian Youth Icon’ award launched to recognize young alumni achievers

Mangaluru, 01 Sep 2023: ‘As an extension of this recognition, the SACAA is proud to launch another initiative to recognize young alumni achievers who have carved a niche for themselves in various fields of endeavours by instituting an unique award titled the ‘Aloysian Youth Icon’ from 2023 with the objective of identifying and recognizing young alumni with high credentials and distinctive achievements in order to inspire students to emulate a way of life and success.

 

The SACAA looks forward to recognize young alumnus/a between the age of 25-35 which could be extended to 40, for candidates from the academic sector. Besides, the candidate should have completed 7 years of service after leaving the institution or should have served the institution/s with 7 years of uninterrupted service. The candidate must have a distinctive track record of upholding the institutional core values and should have demonstrated highest level of honesty, integrity and ethics at all levels.

 

 

An independent committee representing various fields of expertise will process and critically review the profiles and applications before submitting the report to the management committee for their consideration. The management committee constituted especially for the purpose, after due consideration of the basic objectives and criteria will finalize the name/s of the awardee/s. Some of the areas for consideration would be art, entertainment, media, scholarship (research), sports & games, entrepreneurship, professional excellence, social service, environmental initiatives. But these areas are only indicative and not exclusive.

 

The management and SACAA are proud to launch this innovative project towards celebrating the iconic young Aloysian alumni, who have not only attained excellence in their personal distinctions but also contributed to the society in a significant way besides inspiring current students through their exemplary values.

 

The SACAA wishes to receive recommendations of candidates from all well-wishers of the institution for the success of this wonderful youth programme.
