National Youth Sunday Observed in St. Lawrence Parish, Moodubelle

Udupi/M’Belle, 27 Aug 2023: The National Youth Sunday was observed in St. Lawrence Parish, Moodubelle on Sunday, 27 August 2023 soon after the 7.30 am Mass. The ICYM and YCS members participated in the programme.

 

In his message, Fr. George D’Souza, Parish Priest of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle said that the youth should prepare themselves for their adult life by setting proper goals and aims. If they prepare well in advance they will find it easier to fulfill their aims and objectives. 

 

The resource person of the programme, Pritish D’Sa (CA) who is also the Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council in his keynote address said that youth, while studying in their respective classes should not only concentrate on their studies but also develop an interest in other fields such as political awareness, economical aspects and even working of the share market. It is important to have multi-dimensional approach to their studies. Otherwise education would be limited only to narrow subjects which may help them to pass their examinations but may not help them in facing reality of their future life.

 

 

The programme was attended by Fr. Pradeep Cardoza-Spiritual Director of  ICYM and YCS, Mrs. Gracy Rebello-Convener of 20 Commissions, YCS Animators-Dr. Judith Lobo and Mrs. Nikita Rebello, ICYM Animators-Vincent Fernandes and Mrs. Shanthi Alva and Youth Coordinator-Valerian Noronha.

 

Malcon Aranha welcomed the gathering Janice Castelino introduced the resource person, Jemima Aranha proposed the vote of thanks and  Viana Fernandes compered the programme.
