Udupi District Congress protest on Adani issue at Ajjarkad, Udupi

Udupi, 06 Feb 2023: As per the guidelines from the KPCC, District Congress party in a protest meet near to LIC at Ajjarkad here on Monday, February 6, have been urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order an investigation into Adani Group companies after a U.S. based short selling firm Hindenburg Research, accused Adani group of Companies of various fraudulent practices.

 

Addressing the protesters, KPCC General Secretary M A Gaffoor said that our agitation is not against the LIC. We are giving a warning to the government of injustice to LIC. Some people are looting the national banks. The government is not in favour of youth to provide them employment. More than 12 crore youths are unemployed. The government should take action on the accused in financial dealings in the Adani group of companies, he said.

 

 

Gaffoor said that some of the industrialists looted Rs 10 lakh crore from the various banks. Except Vijay Mallya, out of 29 industrialists, all industrialists are from Gujarat state only. All these people had done irregularities in trading and looted the country. The looting of money is also one type of terrorism. We demand an investigation by the government in regard to Adani companies’ frauds, he said.

 

District Congress Vice President Kushal Shetty said that Narendra Modi has made debt which has been more than four times of UPA government. No capital in this government. Rahul Gandhi earlier said that the Narendra Modi government was trying to sell the country and likewise, the Narendra Modi led government was looting the country, Kushal Shetty said.
