Bantwal, 06 Aug 2022: The newly-opened Father Muller Nursing College by Father Muller Hospital, Thumbe is a boon to rural students living in Bantwal taluk, said Fr Richard A Coelho, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Kankanady, Mangaluru.
Fr Richard was speaking after inaugurating the first batch of B Sc Nursing at their newly-opened Nursing College, Thumbe, here recently.
He further said, ‘Father Muller has been renowned in health care and psychiatry, while the medicos who study with them are fortunate because of their many decades of expertise and service to humanity,’ said Fr Richard. He urged the students to develop empathy, discipline and harmonious living to become successful in their career.
Renilda Shanti Lobo, principal of City Nursing College, Mangaluru was the chief guest, Lobo appealed to the students to develop positive attributes to become successful in their career as there are plenty of opportunities in nursing worldwide.
Sr Dhanya Devasyam, principal of Father Muller Nursing College, Thumbe said that the nursing profession is tough and that it needs patience and long hours of duty. They should have human virtues and seek God in the service of humanity.
The medical superintendent Kiran Shetty was present.
The administrator Fr Sylvester V Lobo welcomed the gathering. Sylvia Nisha Lobo proposed vote of thanks. Alisha compered the programme.
