Bantwal: ACB sleuths arrest surveyor whilst taking bribe from a woman

Bantwal, 09 Oct 2021: DK district anti-crime bureau (ACB) arrested a employee working in survey section of revenue department located at Mini Vidhan Soudha, here on Friday, October 8, whist taking bribe from a women related to identifying the pointers in her property as per government survey.

 

ACB police arrested surveyor Suresh who is accused of taking a bribe of Rs 6,000 bribe from a woman at survey section, Mini Vidhan Soudha, B C Road, here.

 

Prima Sarita Pinto, a resident living in the limits of Kallige gram panchayat had applied for surveying her property, while the surveyor demanded Rs 7,000 bribe that was later reduced to Rs 6,000. Meanwhile, based on a complaint lodged with ACB, a trap was laid at the survey section and Suresh was nabbed red-handed along with the cash.

 

The operation was carried out under the instruction of Western Range ACB SP Simon led by DySP K C Prakash with joint action of SI Gururaj, Shamsunder and ACB sleuths.
