Congress protests over failure of state govt in curbing Covid-19 as positive cases spikes

Mangaluru, 26 Jul 2020: Dakshina Kannada district Congress staged protest in front of District Wenlock Hospital, here on Wednesday July 23 morning, alleging Karnataka state government totally failed in curbing Covid-19 as positive cases are spiking day by day.

 

 

Addressing the media persons, former MLC Ivan D’Souza said that the district administration failed to provide Covid care at state-run Wenlock Hospital; instead ask the kith to take the victim to other private hospitals. ‘Does a poor patient can afford exorbitant charges at the private hospitals? questioned D’Souza.

 

He also alleged that there is chaos among the general public about the procedures to bury their dead Covid relatives who belong to different faiths. He sought clarity over the issue at the earliest.
