Gulbarga, 09 September 2010: Veteran Congress leader and former chief minister S Bangarappa’s health created some anxious moments, when he mildly fainted while addressing an election meeting at Ganganagar, here on Wednesday.
While addressing an election meeting Bangarappa fainted and was helped by others to sit on a chair. He was immediately rushed to Shivaiah Guttedar’s house, where Dr Harwalkar examined him. The doctor said that by the time Bangarappa reached the house he had recovered. Diabetic Bangarappa had the symptoms of low blood pressure. However, his vital parameters such as pulse and heart beat were normal, the doctor said. An ECG was also performed and the condition was reported to Dr V K Srinivas of Mallya Hospital, Bangalore, who normally treats Bangarappa.
Later speaking with mediapersons Bangarappa said he had some acidity problem and there was no cause for concern on his health. He left for Bangalore in the evening by train and will take part in election campaign in Kadur on Thursday.
