Mangaluru, 21 Oct 2017: Karnataka state administration sanctioned Rs 2 crore to widen the Kankanady Railway Station Road linking Mangaluru – Bengaluru NH 75 at Padil, said MLA J R Lobo.
MLA Lobo was speaking after laying the foundation for widening Kankanady Railway Station Road that is the lifeline for passengers alighting at Mangaluru Junction and is in deplored condition with no proper street lights, where auto rickshaw drivers fleece the unwary passengers with unmetered fares, here, on Friday, October 20.
The road works once completed will help passengers comfortable journey into the city and outbound.
The local corporator Praveenchandra Alva, Mangaluru taluk Land Tribunal Council member Denis D’Silva and other Congress activists were present.
