Mangaluru, 07 Sep 2017: Karnataka that has enjoyed tolerance among the people of different faith witnessed another killing for ideological differences. Gowri Lankesh, the well known senior journalist, crusader of social justice, uncompromising on her struggle for her just cause was gunned down at her home by unknown assailants is indeed a cowardly act, condemned SSF – Karnataka president Ismail Sakafi Kodagu in his media release.
The radicals are attacking/killing the renowned litterateurs, intellectuals in Karnataka for their differences in ideologies, he expressed deep concern. Despite 2 years elapsed since the killing of researcher M M Kalburgi, the accused are not being arrested. It should not happen to slain case of Gowri Lankesh, said Ismail. He also urged the Congress-led state administration to arrest the accused and expose the vested interests.
