Mangaluru, 16 Aug 2017: The law enforcement agencies arrested 2 persons accused in the slain case of Bantwal RSS activist Sharat Madivala, said Western Range IGP P Harishekaran.
Thirty-six-year-old Abdul Shafi Alias Shafi, resident of Sajipamunnoor village in Bantwal taluk and PFI activist; thirty-year-old Khalilulla, resident of Galipura village and district president of PFI – Chamarajanagar are arrested by the police.
Both the accused were presented before the court that awarded their judicial custody. The police launched a manhunt for other 5 accused and will be arrested at the earliest, said IGP Harishekaran.
The law enforcement agencies formed 7 teams led by police officers who have interrogated 30 people regarding the slain case of Sharat Madivala, added IGP Harishekaran.
The investigating teams covered Maharashtra, Kerala, Bengaluru, Shivamogga, Karwar and other cities to arrest the duos. The police are also interrogating Kalandar and Sharif in custody.
He announced cash prize of Rs 25,000 to the successful investigating team in finding a major breakthrough regarding the case.
