Bantwal, 12 Aug 2017: The Aati celebrations were held in a unique manner at Laxmikodi Government Lower Primary School, near Salettoor, near here, on Thursday, August 10.
The highlight of the event was a local auto rickshaw driver Monappa Madira, born in a generations of Tulu folk dancer’s family presented a rare Tulu folk dance.
The school plot donor TP former member Saleh Mohammed, the local gram panchayat vice president Yamuna Gowda, member Jagdish Rai, journalist Sandeep Salian, school betterment Committee president Sara were present at the dais.
The delicacies of Aati that were prepared by the parents of students were shared by the gathering.
The theater artist Sunila Jarandagudde presented skits, singing and games.
The School head teacher Laveena D’Souza welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks. The teacher Renuka compered the programme.
