Karkala: M Udaya Krishnayya Shetty Charitable Trust to help distressed auto drivers

Karkala, 01 Jul 2017: ‘It’s the responsibility of society to share the burdens of auto rickshaw drivers serving in rural areas who help the people to flourish with urbanites. Muniyalu Udaya Krishnayya Shetty Charitable Trust®,’ said Muniyal Udaya Shetty, chief trustee.

 

He was speaking by presenting cash award of Rs 5,000 for auto rickshaw driver of Month – Harish Devadiga, by the Trust, during a simple function held at Belman, here, on Wednesday, June 28.

 

 

He further said that the Trust will support the family of auto rickshaw driver who serve the poor and hapless round-the-clock.  

 

The senior teacher of St Joseph’s School – Pundalika Marate lauded the social concern of Trust in helping the poor auto drivers.

 

The farmer Devu Poojary, entrepreneur Jagannat Moolya, social activist and time keeper Ravi and Karate coach Satish Belman were present.

 

Hosasanje Balaga president R Devaraya Prabhu compered the programme.
