Karkala, 02 Apr 2017: The caricature plays key role in art, music, literature, painting, choreography and other spheres. Cartoons are an effective means that has mass appeal. Its has greater impact on reforming the ills of society, said renowned cartoonist and limerick litterateur Gopi Hirebettu.
Gopi was holding live demonstration on cartoons during the workshop on fine arts that was organized by Kannada literary union of St Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Belman, near here, on Saturday, April 1.
He explained how to draw lines, circles, horizontal and vertical lines to draw the pictures of birds, animals, humans and also express joy, laughter, crying.
He also inspired them to pen limericks using simple words to express their emotions rhythmically.
The Kannada literary union president Yashasvini Naik, vice president Deepika, secretary Nita Nayak, director B Pundalika Marate, head teacher Sr Lucy Pereira and other, teachers co-ordinated in the workshop.
