“Government Programmes meant for common people will be successful if people have proper understanding of such programmes”, said  Yashpal A Suvarna President of DK and Udupi District Fishermen’s Federation while inaugurating the programme giving information about various government schemes at Kodi Kanyana Government Higher Primary School.

The Students Council of St. Mary’s  College, Shirva for the year 2010-11 was inaugurated by the Principal of Shri Durga Parameshwari College, Prof. Balakrishna Shetty. Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro, Correspondent of Shirva Parish Educational Institutions presided over the function. Principal of St. Mary’s College, Dr. J.C.Miranda and the Director of the Students Council, Prof. Vincent D’Souza were present.The office bearers of the Students Council are:  Roshan Dony D’Souza-President, Raphael-Secretary, Jayashree-Joint Secretary and Mervin-Sports Secretary.
