Bantwal, 09 Mar 2017: The burglars broke open the iron-rods of window to get access into the house and decamped with gold jewelry, being reported from Kalladka, here on Wednesday, March 8.
The brokers broke open the house of a certain K P Nizar, at Kalladka, here on Tuesday, March 7 night. Nizar and his wife, their baby was living in the house, who have gone to their in-law’s house at Melkar, near here on Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, when they returned home on Wednesday, March 8 morning, the burglary was came to light.
The burglars ransacked the house including cupboards and decamped with 12 sovereign pounds worth of gold jewelry.
Bantwal sub-division DySP Dr Ravish C R, fingerprint experts, canine squad arrived at the spot with police personnel. The local’s involvement in the crime is suspected.
Bantwal town crime department registered a case of burglary. The worth of jewelry was ascertained to be around Rs 2.25 Lac.
The burglars also made vain attempt to burgle another house located behind Kalladka mosque on the same night. They ransacked the almairah and found no valuables. There were blood stains on the floor, as it indicates they got cuts in hands whilst working on access. Police suspect the same group has been involved in both these cases.
