Mangaluru, 28 Feb 2017: ‘Incident’ is an annual cultural festival of National Institute of Technology (NIT)-Karnataka and is one of the largest college festivals of South India. This festival spans over 4 days and witnesses a massive audience from all over the country. This festival has an array of competitions, informal events and shows by eminent artists. This year, Incident 2017 will be held from March 1 to 5.
Incident is not just a fest but a celebration of culture. The festival encompasses a gamut of events, from dance and dramatics to music, painting, fashion and quizzing. With over 60+ events and a footfall of over 40000, Incident has grown to be South India’s largest college cultural festival. In addition to these, the NITK Beach and the Beach Events provide an experience that students wouldn’t want to miss.
In order to encourage and motivate the young minds of India, prizes worth 5 Lakhs has been set aside for the various competitions to ensure that the students get to showcase their talents during Incident 2017. Through a rich range of cultural exhibitions, performances and delicious food stalls, Incident symbolises the zeal and beauty of Coastal India. Apart from competitions, Incident also plays host to numerous pro shows by renowned artistes from all over the world. This year’s edition of Incident themed A Coastal Carnival promises to be an amazing ride on the waves of the coast.
