Udupi, 24 Sep 2016: The delegation of Shanta V Acharya, vice president of Bharat Scouts and Guides – Karnataka and commissioner of state guides paid a visit to the power plant of UPCL – Adani Group, functioning at Yellur, on Friday September 23.
Speaking on the occasion, UPCL joint chairman Kishore Alva acknowledged the support of the former Karnataka minister the late Dr V S Acharya for UPCL that is contributing to the development of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada district by generating electricity and also for rural development under CSR programmes.
Shanta Acharya commended the rural development programmes undertaken by UPCL under CSR programmes in the neighbouring villages.
Kishore Alva handed over the letter to Shanta V Acharya to build a compound wall @ Rs 50 lac around Bharat Scouts and Guides Training Centre, here that will be developed in 23 acre plot.
Sai Radha Group chairman Manohar S Shetty, Bharat Scouts and Guides district chief commissioner K B Rao, vice president Jyoti Pai, district secretary Jayamalini, assistant district commissioner Rajagopal Achar, Dr Vijayendra, ranger captain Jyoti Aharya, district organizer Nitin Amin, Sumana Shekar, district assistant commissioner Anand Adiga were present.
