Puttur, 14 Aug 2016: St Philomena College here launched their Eco Club during a simple function held at their Spandana seminar hall on Saturday August 13.
The chief guest Dr Prasanna Rai K, head of department of Botany in his address said, ‘Environmental pollution is a global problem. In India, it has assumed threatening proportions due to the influence of number of factors. Therefore, greater emphasis is urgently needed to protect our environment.’
The Principal Professor Leo Noronha presided the programme.
The convener of Eco Club Nagaraju M, co-conveners Rakshitha R B and Shashiprabha B were present on this occasion.
Namitha K T Gowda welcomed the gathering. Nixon Joseph proposed the vote of thanks. Crystal Rodrigues compered the programme.
