Udupi, 01 Aug 2016: The new generations of students pass with distinctions with top marks, but fail in real life. The parents lay emphasis on securing top marks. The need of the hour is to mentor their children to become responsible citizen in the society. The students should not become slaves for top marks instead apply their studies in their real life, said Udupi district former education officer, education expert and Mangaluru-based Teachers Training College lecturer Ashok Kamat.
Kamat was speaking during PTA meet of Don Bosco High School, Shirva, near here on Saturday July 30.
Our Lady of Health – Shirva parish council vice president Wilson D’Souza said that the parents try to realize their dreams in their children, but they should not be pressurized to get their ranks.
The School principal Fr Mahesh D’Souza briefed about activities and explained the role of parents in protecting their children.
Dayana Saldanha, Robert Pinto and B Narasimha Bhat were elected as office bearers.
