True happiness lies in exploring environment, science and literature, said Mangaluru AIR artiste and renowned litterateur K Chandrashekar Kedilaya.
Chandrashekar was speaking after inaugurating Kannada Literary Union, Sience Union and Srusti – Eco Club at St Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Belman, near here on Saturday June 25.
He also sang the songs of patriotism, brotherhood and environment of renowned poets, to educate the students on richness of Karnataka culture.
The School head teacher Sr Lucy Pereira presided the programme and welcomed the gathering.
The Science Union director Vincent Pinto, Kannada Literary Union president Yashasvini Naik, secretary Nita Nayak, Science Union president Shravan Acharya, secretary Sonali Kulal, Eco Club president Kirtana, secretary Shravya were present.
Kammada Literary Union director B Pundalika Marate compered the programme. Eco Club deputy director Divya proposed vote of thanks.
The members of Eco Club presented skits to create general awareness on eco-environment.
