Mangaluru, 04 May 2016: Coastal Development Authority (CDA) chairman Nivedit Alva while on his visit reviewed the ongoing works of installing a hanging bridge linking Kuppepadav (that is now comes under Muttur gram panchayat) in Mangaluru taluk and Badagabellore gram panchayat in Batnwal taluk by CDA, here on Monday May 2.
The work is going on in full wing to install a hanging bridge at Kuppepadav, as per the assurances to the local villages that would benefit the people living on either side of Palguni river. The hanging bridge will have the length of 135 meters and 1.20 meter in width that will be laid at an estimated cost of Rs 146.59 lac. It would be operational by June 2016, said Alva.
Badagabellore gram panchayat vice president Yogish Poojary, CDA secretary Pradeep D’Souza, assistant executive engineer Ninga Setty was present on the occasion.
