Udupi, 16 March 2016: It’s a privilege for one to get membership with Rotary Club International (RCI) that has a history of over a century in serving the humanity, fostering love and brotherhood. It’s an association of service-oriented people believe in social service and working for upliftment of society, said RCI former district assistant governor Pundalika Marate.
Marate was speaking on Rotary membership and service during the public gathering held at Rotary auditorium, organized by RCI – Shankerpura, near here on Monday March 14.
He further said, ‘RCI operates in over 215 countries in the world. It has no bias in gender, caste, color or race, where everyone has equal opportunities to serve the mankind.’
RCI – Shankerpura president Clifford D’Mello presided the programme and welcomed the gathering.
The commandant Francis D’Sa was present at the dais. The veteran Rotary members Stanley Rodrigues, Rotaract president Praveen Kumar Shetty, Rotaract district Committee president Chandra Poojary was also present.
U Nandan Kumar presented the Rotary announcements. R V Prabhu rendered the prayers.
