Karkala, 24 Feb 2016: The scouts and guides provide a perfect platform to the students to develop human values, discipline, personal hygiene, serving others, adventure spirit, patriotism and peaceful living, said Sr Lucy Pereira, head teacher of St Joseph’s Primary School, Belman, near here.
Sr Lucy was speaking during World Scouts Day celebrations held at their school on Monday February 22.
The guides and bull bull units presented variety cultural shows to mark the occasion.
Neeta Nayak welcomed the gathering. Pooja Salian briefed about the significance of Scouts and Guides Day celebrations.
The guides and bull bull teachers Sr Usha Stella and Lilly D’Souza organized this programme.
The senior teachers Juliana Moras, B Pundalika Marate and Vincent Pinto, honorary teahers Lavina Pinto, Divya and Jyoti Devadiga, physical education teacher Harshendra Kumar were present.
