Udupi, 30 Jan 2016: Vishwasadamane, rehabilitation centre, Shankerpura, near here reunited a 25-year-old destitute youngster from Andhra Pradesh (AP) on Wednesday January 28.
Chiranjeevi (real name Nagesh), 25-year-old destitute from AP was picked up by Shirva sub-inspector Ashok and head constable Damodar during their night patrol at Subash Nagar Junction, Kurkalu, near here on February 24, 2014. He was entrusted to the care of Vishwasadamane on July 25, 2014.
Chiranjeevi who was shabbily dressed stinking without bathing for years taken care by the staff of Vishwasadamane, fed him proper meals. He was consulted by a psychiatrist and treated for his mental ailments. He recovered his wellbeing gradually and began working as mason and at the backyard garden.
He had expressed his desire to return home by sharing his address. Vishwasadamane chief functionary Pastor D’Souza wrote a letter intimating that Chiranjeevi is fine and willing to join his family who received the letter.
Accordingly, Chiranjeevi’s parents and relatives arrived at Vishwasadamane, here on Thursday January 28 afternoon and happy to see Chiranjeevi. They left with him to their native village in AP on the same night.
