Udupi, 22 Jan 2016: The Catholic Board of Education (CBE) aimed at imparting quality education to the students by organizing rejuvenation training workshops to the teachers to make studies interesting and fun, since Udupi Catholic diocese was founded. The education has key objective of shaping better future of the students and instill human values, develop personality, said CBE secretary Fr Lawrence D’Souza.
Fr Lawrence was speaking after inaugurating daylong rejuvenation training workshop for the teachers of Udupi and Karkala at St Mary’s PU College auditorium, Shirva, near here on Thursday January 21.
Shirva parish priest and St Mary’s education institutions correspondent Fr Stany Tauro said that at the ever changing times, the quality of education can only be maintained by empowering the teachers with new methods of teaching.
St Mary’s College principal Professor Rajan was present at the dais.
St Mary’s education institutions administrator Dr Fr Anil Prakash Castelino compered the programme.
Professor Dr Fr Clifford Fernandes of St Joseph Seminary, Jeppu, Mangaluru and Professor Vincent Alva Padubelle of Milagres College, Kallianpur, here were the resource persons.
