Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim briefed Bharatlal Meena that APMC complex in Baikampady here has nearly 100 acre disused land. There is no significant farm produce related activities are underway at the complex. The traffic bottlenecks are common in Baikampady, NMPT and in the vicinity of industrial area. The trucks are parked besides the highway from Kuloor to Suratkal, causing hindrance to public transport since several years. If a truck terminal is developed at APMC yard; it would ease congestion on highways.
