Freedom fighter late K L Sharma Memorial Cricket Tourney inaugurated at Shirva

Udupi, 07 Dec 2015: Sooda Karunakar Shetty sponsored and in collaboration with Hindu PU College alumni Association, Shirva, near here the late freedom fighter and Hindi retired teacher of Hindu PU College, Shirva, K L Sharma memorial cricket tournament was inaugurated by alumnus entrepreneur S K Salian at the College grounds, Shirva, near here on Sunday December 6 morning.

 

The Alumni Association president Sorkala Sacchidanand Hegde welcomed the gathering and presided the programme.

 

 

The alumnis Kutyar Prasad Shetty in his introductory address briefed on the bond of alumni with their education institution and also the significance of freedom fighter the late K L Sharma memorial cricket tournament. 

 

Prashant Shetty, Uday Shetty Mumbai, Sadanand Shetty, Hindu PU College principal Sundar Mera were present at the dais.

 

Sadanand proposed vote of thanks. The cricket coach Lingappa compered the programme.

 

The tournament will be continued on December 12 and December 13, while the finals will be held on Sunday December 19 at 2.00pm. The valedictory will be held at 4.00pm. The winning team get cash prize of Rs 55,555 and a trophy, while runner up team will get Rs 33,333. The annual general body meeting of alumni Association will be held on Sunday December 19 morning, stated the media release issued by alumni Association.
