Mangaluru, 10 Sep 2015: Ramakrishna mutt here on Tuesday September 8 organized Shraddha - A symposium for Post Graduate students in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s Historic address at the Parliament of Religions at Chicago in 1893.
Swami Suvirananda, assistant secretary of Ramakrishna mutt and Mission here on Tuesday inaugurated the symposium and stressed the importance of applying the ideologies of Swami Vivekananda every day for a meaningful life. He also lauded the efforts of Ramakrishna Mission, here for its contribution in the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan.
The philanthropist Vijay Sankeshwar shared his experiences and highlighted that values play an important role in achieving success.
MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik, special invitee, motivated the audience.
Swami Sarvasthananda of Ramakrishna mutt, Rajkot, Professor K Raghotham Rao of Bengaluru and B S N Murthy of Hyderabad were the resource persons and conducted the interactive sessions.
About 550 Post Graduate students from different institutions in and around Mangalore attended the programme.
