Udupi, 12 Jul 2015: There is a Scottish resident in the temple town of Udupi. All of 80-days, this Scottish resident is the testimony for the canine love nurtured by a student of Udupi.
For Tejas Kamath, a BBM student of Sikkim Manipal University, this little British Bulldog is apple of his eyes.
Coming straight from Scotland, this British Bulldog cost Tejas Rs 1.9 lakh, but he says it is worth it.
Tejas had expressed his desire to own a British bulldog to Alwyn Bernes, a puppy farm owner.
Within no time, a little plumpy white and brown British Bulldog was flown to India from Scotland for Tejas, who is brimming with pride as this happens to be the only imported breed of bulldog in the region.
"My parents dislike canines. But, when I said I wanted a British Bulldog, they agreed to it," Says Tejas.
On the other hand, Alywyn Bernes too was happy to have struck a deal of its kind.
"This is a marvelous breed. Expensive and exotic, this breed can grow up to 1.5 feet," says Bernes who adds that this was the first time that he had imported a breed.
