Karkal, 02 June 2015: The state government granted permission to St Joseph’s English Medium School to function Class IX and Class X from this academic year, while the school governing council will provide all the facilities to poor students in the remote areas to get quality education on subsidized fees, said Fr Lawrence B D’Souza, correspondent of St Joseph’s education institutions, Belman, near here.
Fr Lawrence was speaking after inaugurating new classes and reopening celebration of St Joseph’s education institutions, Belman, near here on Monday June 1.
Fr Lawrence congratulated the teachers of high school for getting top results in the recently held SSLC exams.
The high school head teacher Anita Kamaline, English School head teacher Janet D’Souza, higher primary school head teacher Sr Monica, governing council members Ronald D’Souza, Dorothy Pinto and Henry D’Souza, student union leaders Chaitra and Vishal were preent at the dais.
Belman assistant parish priest Fr J B Moras compered the programme.
The convent superior Sr Usha Stella held the prayer service. The teacher Vincent Pinto proposed vote of thanks.
