Udupi, 18 May 2015: The entire Hindu community had to be united for its betterment, urged Swami Mohandas Paramahamsa of Mahalaxmi mutt, Sri Dhama, Maneela, near here.
Swami Mohandas was delivering religious discourse during the first ever annual celebrations at Bhadrakali temple, Bellibettu, near here on Sunday May 17.
He also advised the gathering to shun the superstitious beliefs that is thriving in rural villages. The Vedic celebrations in worship centers with free food offerings will restore faith, added Swami Mohandas.
Udupi district human rights Commission president Inna Udayakumar Shetty presided the programme.
Astrologer Madhav Poduval, Kolachoor Divakar Bhat, Jayant Kumar Karnad, entrepreneurs Santosh Poonja and Kulai V N Rajendran, Srikrishna Ayyappa Bhaktavranda – Kulai president Suman Anchan, Laxman Vamanjoor were present at the dais.
Bhadrakali Prashasti was bestowed on lifetime achievers of different spheres – Krishna Devadiga, Muddanna Poojary, Madhav Bhandary, Shankar Shetty, Shekar Devadiga, Divakar Bhat couple.
Ramyashree and group rendered the prayers. Sheshagiri Mangaluru welcomed the gathering. The teacher Deviprasad Bellibettu compered the programme. The temple trustee Vishwanat proposed vote of thanks.
