Shivamogga, 16 May 2015: The valedictory function of 2-day free summer camp that was organized by Avi Rural and Urban Development Organization®, Kodoor village, near here was held at Government Higher Primary School, Yalagallu, Kodoor, near here on Friday May 15. Varieties of IQ enhancing competitions were held for the rural children.
Vishwakannadiga News adviser and writer Kodakkal Shivaprasad was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Shivaprasad lauded the social concern of Avi Rural and Urban Development Organization in empowering the economically-weaker rural children to succeed in life. He urged the children to take part in such camps because it gives them an opportunity to develop leadership qualities and life skills.
The School headmaster Raju congratulated the children for partaking in the camp and appealed to become responsible citizens when they grow up. He also distributed the prizes to the winners of different competitions.
Shivaprasad presented the book authored by child litterateur and Vishwakannadiga columnist Antakarana to all thirty camp participants.
The renowned social activist Sarja Shankar Haralimata and resource person Vanita were present.
Avi Rural and Urban Development Organization chairman Dr K Shivaram and secretary Ganesh Kodoor successfully organized this 2-day children’s camp.
