Puttur, 9 Nov 2014: The post-graduation department of social work of St Philomena College (SPC), here organized 3-day street play training workshop for the I MSW students starting here recently.
Professor Subbappa Kaikamba, head of department of commerce, Government First Grade Women’s College, Mangalore as well as well known theater artiste was the resource person.
In the workshop, a street play on the theme ‘Alcoholism and its Consequences’ with the title ‘Hosa Baduku’ has been all set for staging.
The post-graduation department of social work has planned 6-day Educational Rural Camp for I MSW students at Padnooru School that is located in the limits of Bannur gram panchayat, near here starting from November 17 to November 22.
On November 18, during this proposed camp, the above planned street play will be staged by the students at Pervodi Junction in Bannur. The same show will be staged again during the occasion of evening cultural programme in the camp as well.
