Karkal, Sep 12, 2014: Pratiba Karanji (variety cultural talent contests) that has been introduced by state public instructions department in schools indeed enabled the rural talent to shine in district and state level competitions. It’s the ideal platform for the rural talent to shine in Pratiba Karanji, said Karkal TP president Vijayakumari.
Vijayakumari was speaking after inaugurating Karkal taluk level primary and high school students Pratiba Karanji – 2014 at Mahalingeshwar Higher Primary School, Nandalike, near here on Thursday September 11.
MLA Sunil Kumar in his presidential address urged the teachers despite pressure of profession; they had to foster the talent in the students. He further said, ‘Nandalike is the birth place of contemporary poet Muddana who should be the inspiration for the students to excel in their talent,’ said MLA Sunil.
ZP member Supreet Shetty, Belman gram panchayat president Shankar Kundar Sooda, school betterment Committee president Sukanya, Belman gram panchayat members Suresh Rao, Vimala Shetty and Tellis, physical education taluk superintendent Babu Poojary, school head master V KK Rao Nandalike, teachers Association office bearers Prakash Rao, Ravindra Hegde, Satish Shetty, Ritesh Shetty, Krishna Kumar Peralke, Pratviraj Ballal, Krishna Moily, school correspondent Rajeshwari V Rao were present on the occasion.
The block education officer Manmohan H K welcomed the gathering. Pratiba Karanji nodal officer Shivanand delivered the introductory address. The taluk co-ordinating officer Jayanti Shetty proposed vote of thanks. Pilar Sudhakar Shenoy and teacher Meenakshi compered the programme.
