Mangalore, 31 Jul 2014: A dead body of woman was found in a mysterious condition at a house in Panjimegeru, here on Wednesday July 30 morning.
The deceased has been identified thirty-two-years-old Annapoorna, wife of forty-year-old Fakirayya. The couple are daily wagers from Koppal district have been staying at a rented house in Panjimogeru here.
Fakirayya has been absconding who is suspected to have murdered his wife.
The murder came to light on Wednesday morning, when the neighbours grew suspicious as the main door of her dwelling quarter was shut. The neighbours peeped through the open window and saw Annapoorna lying motionless.
The couple has 2 children who are studying in Koppal. The police sources informed that Annapoorna had filed a complaint in Koppal against her husband a month ago after which the couple had moved to Mangalore.
The blood stains and scratches were found on the neck and the belly of the deceased, indicating that she might have been murdered.
ACP Ravi Kumar and other police officials arrived at the spot.
Kavoor police registered a case and investigations are on.
