Udupi, 29 Jun 2014: The traditional practices of erstwhile Tulunadu should not be limited to a single day; instead it has to be held throughout the year for the new generation to foster. The social welfare and voluntary organizations had to strive in this regard by sensitizing the people, said JCI zonal director Sandeep Kumar.
Sandeep was speaking after inaugurating Kandodonji Dina, Rural Sports meet – 2014 that was organized at the joint auspices of JCI, Shankarapura Jasmine, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) – Kunjarugiri and Innanje, Salmara Friends – Shankarapura, Jyoti Club – Durganagar, Alma Mater – Shankarapura, youth and women club - Innanje at Innanje, near here on Sunday June 29 morning.
JCI – zonal officer Rakesh Kunjoor was the chief guest commended JCI’s yeomen service in organizing rural sports.
SKDRDP animator Mohan, Kunjarugiri Federation animator Rajesh Acharya, Innanje Federation president Vishalakshi, Jyoti Club president Harish, Innanje Yuvaka Mandala president Umesh Acharya, Innanje women’s club – president Suma were chief guests of the occasion.
JCI – Shankar Jasmine president Sampat Suvarna presided and welcomed the gathering. Salmara Friends president and the programme chief convener Naveen Amin Shankarapura delivered the introductory address. The past president Santosh Kumar compered the programme.
