Udupi, Jun 24, 2014 : The worldly studies will not empower the society that has been proved with social evils by the so called educated people. The newspapers report the involvement of educated in sexual assaults, frauds and terror activities. The need of the hour is to include moral education in the regular studies, said Mangalore-based Shanthi Educational Trust president K M Sharif.
Sharif was speaking after inaugurating new building block of Salihat English Medium School, managed by Mohammedia Educational Trust, Hoode, near here on Tuesday June 23.
Jamaat-e-Hind Mangalore zonal convener Abdul Salam Uppinangady in his presidential address said that its easier to manage the education institutions that is commercially oriented, but it’s a difficult task to establish education institutions to enable new generation to instill moral values. It needs co-operation of society indeed, said Abdul Salam.
Mohammedia Educational Trust chief secretary Akbar Ali Udupi, administrator Aslam Haikady also spoke on the occasion.
Gulam Shaikh and Mukthar Ahmed Honnala congratulated the students of Salihat Pre-University College and Salihat English Medium School for bagging 100 percent result. The toppers were felicitated on the same occasion.
TP member Rahmatulla Tonse, advisor Moulana, governing council members and others were present.
Moulana Adam recited the verses from Holy Quran. Mohammed Idris delivered the introductory address. Salihat Kannada Medium High School headteacher Lavina Clara proposed vote of thanks. Salihat English Medium School head teacher Sunanda compered the programme.
