Udupi, Mar 1, 2014 : The CMC monthly meeting was a complete mess with the opposition over the hike in trade license tariff here on Friday February 28.
The session was adjourned when it went out of control. The meeting hall was filled with arguments and counters arguments, disturbed the ongoing proceedings, and abruptly stopped because of verbal abuse between the ruling and opposition party.
BJP member M R Pai started the issue and said that they are totally against the Karnataka Municipality Act of 1964.
Congress members explained that the decision was by taken by the district administration and not by CMC.
All the 12 BJP members stood up and displayed red colored placards against the Congress led civic body.
Retorting to the query the president Yuvaraj said the issue is mentioned in the supplementary agenda and the issue can be discussed after the question hour.
