Kundapur, 13 Jan 2014: Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade donated Rs 4 lac for constructing a new building block of Government Model Higher Primary Girls’ School that is century-old and oldest education institution in Kundapaur taluk.
Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) project officer Hemalata Hegde and taluk overseer Dinesh visited the school and viewed the ongoing construction works; handed over the cheque to school centenary celebration Committee president Dinakar Patel and headmaster D Lingappa on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dinakar Patel said that the new building works has been taken up at a cost of Rs 60 lac as the old building was in ruins. Meanwhile, Patel expressed his gratitude to Dr Heggade for donating his mite in this regard.
